From Catalina Resort, you can access an incredibly broad range of attractions on the Sunshine Coast. There is something for everyone within easy distance of our luxury, self-contained family accommodation.
The Sunshine Coast is home to some of the most breathtaking scenery and pristine natural environments in Australia. This lends itself to bush walking, horseback riding or cycling on
some of the local trails. Our beaches are clean and safe, and the patrolled Maroochydore beach is just a couple of minutes walk from Catalina Resort, through a private beach access. Swimming and surfing are obvious and popular choices for visitors to our area, along with fishing, boating or stand up paddling on the ocean or the calm of the nearby Maroochy River. Helicopter rides afford you a birds eye view of our own little piece of paradise.
Cotton Tree and Mooloolaba boast a vibrant atmosphere, tailor made for foodies and families alike, with award winning eateries around every corner. Maroochydore’s thriving Ocean Street precinct has food and entertainment offerings for people of all ages, including cosmopolitan bars and night life. If you like to shop ’til you drop, Sunshine Plaza is an easy walk and the newly refurbished Kawana Shopping World is a ten minute drive.
If your idea of holiday heaven is to get back to nature, you truly could not choose a better location than the Sunshine Coast. The magnificent Blackall Range is right on our doorstep. Or you can explore the peaceful, mystical Glass House Mountains, so revered by the Aboriginal community. These ancient mountains are steeped in Dreamtime legend, and are a spectacular place to unwind and de-stress.
Even a simple drive to the northern end of the Sunshine Coast, through Coolum and on to Noosa will reward you with stunning ocean views. Noosa’s iconic Hastings Street is a food and fashion lovers paradise, and a stroll through the peaceful National Park is an awesome way to start or end a relaxing day.
During whale watching season, you will be rewarded with glimpses of dolphins and whales on their annual migration, and our local tour operators can give you a memorable experience up close with these gentle giants.
Whatever takes your fancy, just ask us. We can help you to have the perfect holiday, by booking tours and sight seeing trips for you. We have the local knowledge and can help you to find something for everyone on your holiday.
